Saved me $10,500! D.F., Humble, Texas Dear Gordon: I wanted to take a moment and write you a thank you letter for allowing me to review your book CLAIMS How To Collect Insurance Money Without A Lawyer. It was easy to read and easy to understand. I figure that your book saved me $10,500! As you are aware, I am a licensed insurance agent in the State of Texas. Though I sell quite a lot of auto insurance, I have had little experience with being on the receiving end of a claim. Recently, my wife was injured in an auto accident. Her back was broken and my vehicle was totaled. The other party was at fault and I came very close to calling one of the many lawyers who solicited our case. However, because of my occupation, I was hesitant to involve a lawyer. I can recall many instances in which one of my clients used the services of a personal injury lawyer to collect on a PIP or Uninsured Motorist Claim only to end up paying 30% of the claim money to the lawyer! It was especially disheartening because as the agent who sold the insurance, I was aware that the company was going to pay policy limits for the claim anyway. From my point of view, my client paid a lawyer 30% for nothing. I used the techniques in your book to organize my case and make my own claim. Under our PIP coverage my company paid my wife's injuries up to the limits of coverage ($10,000). The insurance company for the party at fault in the accident paid us their policy limits for bodily injury ($20,000) and they settled with me on my vehicle for $5,000. A lawyer could not have gotten me any more money because there wasn't anymore to get! Once an insurance company pays the policy limits on a policy, they are done. With the help of a lawyer, I estimate that my wife and I might have collected $24,500. Instead, (with the help of your book) we collected $35,000! Thank you, Gordon. I think that everyone should at least read your book before making the decision to hire an attorney. Sincerely, D.F., Humble, Texas

A Lucky Day For Me Reviewer: Barbara from Dallas, Texas November 24, 1999 It was a lucky day for me when I found the book called Claims; How to collect insurance money without a lawyer. I found the book listed on the publishers website. Although my claim was not of the million dollar variety, this book made it possible for me to collect and organize the information and how to deal with the insurance company's representative to bring my claim to a successful and satisfactory conclusion. This book is easy to read, easy to understand with directions and suggestions which are simple to follow. Claims was fun to read and I recommend it to anyone involved in an insurance claim whether they have a lawyer or not. |
